Kyiv, October 01 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The next meeting of the temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada, created to investigate the events near Ilovaisk, ended in a scandal.

Defense Minister Valery Geletey refused to answer the questions posed, citing the secret nature of the operations. “Putin only dreams of finding out what is in this folder regarding Ilovaisk,” he said, holding a folder in his hands.
Also, according to the minister, Ukrainian troops stopped the advance of Russian troops near Ilovaisk.
“This is the first time I see that politicians can discuss the actions of the military,” he said indignantly during a conversation with deputies.
The questions that unnerved the minister were asked by the head of the commission, MP from Batkivshchyna Andriy Senchenko. It is worth noting that one got the impression that Minister Geletey did not always understand what was going on, but Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko came to his rescue.
The present commander of the Dnepr-1 volunteer battalion, Yuri Bereza, who managed to escape from the “cauldron” near Ilovaisk, called what was happening a circus both on the part of the commission and on the part of the Ministry of Defense.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier politicians and ordinary military personnel have repeatedly stated that the tragedy near Ilovaisk - encirclement and further withdrawal with heavy losses of Ukrainian troops - happened due to the stupidity of the Ukrainian generals, but they are trying to hide it.
