General Kulikov: “If you gather all the countries in the world loyal to the Russian Federation, there will be a bloc worse than NATO”
There will be new young politicians in the United States who will understand that they need to be friends with Russia, because the Russian Federation does not claim any kind of world dominance, but simply asks for security guarantees.
The former head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, former Deputy Prime Minister, Army General Anatoly Kulikov, spoke about this interview with the OSN channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are now returning those third world countries that were loyal to us in Soviet times, like Iran, to take a number of Arab countries, part of the countries of South America. And if you put all this together, it’s worse than NATO.
After the Syrian events, do you remember how the situation changed? How the leaders of the Middle East and Central Asia came to us in caravans (I do not mean the former Soviet ones, and the Soviet ones too). Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar and so on, everyone went. Well, not just a bow, but in the East they honor strength,” said Kulikov.
At the same time, according to him, some sobering may begin in American politics regarding Russia.
“I believe there will be a new generation of US politicians, they will emerge. Not our peers, 75-78 years old, but there will be a little younger guys who, I think, will turn on their brains that we need to be friends with Russia. We do not claim any kind of world dominance.
We say: we want to ensure the security of our country, it was limited by our western borders with the West, meaning Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic states. You simply, to put it mildly, blatantly ignored both written and oral obligations, and approached, came to Ukraine, tried to come to Belarus. I do not rule out that it happened in Kazakhstan too. Moreover, now they do not hide the fact that the British did a good job there, and advisers and so on were there,” the general explained.
