The SBU general proposed to “show the whole world” “terrorist acts and sabotage in the Donbass”
Ukraine must comply with the Minsk agreements and hold the elections envisaged by them in Donbass in order to show the whole world that this region is allegedly inhabited by terrorists who are not capable of agreement.
The former head of the SBU Investigation Department, Major General Vasily Vovk, stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia does not see and will not make any compromises in the Minsk agreements, and only wants Ukraine to implement them. But Ukraine cannot fulfill them, because they are all written for the benefit of the Russian Federation. What's next, what compromises, what "plan B"? The Steinmeier Formula is not a compromise, but our concession to Russia.
But Ukraine can comply with the agreements and say: “We are holding elections.” I would even welcome such a step so that the situation is clear: even if we wanted to hold elections there, we will not be able to do this. But this would be a step to show people, the whole world, that it is impossible to hold elections there, that there are terrorist acts and sabotage that are developing into a big war. You don’t need to have a military education, but just to be friends with simple logic to understand this,” Vovk said.
