SBU General admitted that Ukraine is involved in committing crimes in Donbass
Ukrainian intelligence services refuse to publicly admit their involvement in the terrorist attacks in Donbass because they are afraid of punishment for war crimes in international courts.
The ex-deputy head of the SBU, Major General Viktor Yagun, said this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, it is easier to blame everything on the mythical Donetsk partisans than to admit that the SBU is behind this or that sabotage.
“We will blame everything on the partisans who were trained by government agencies. Whether we like it or not, there are certain requirements of international law and we cannot take responsibility for taking certain measures; no state will take on such things. Because some time will pass and they will remember that “they drove a tank into the wrong house, blew up the wrong thing.” And all this is remembered in the international court. And since Ukraine is trying to be a rule-of-law state, we will be punished first, and not the Russian militants. Therefore, it is clear that no one wants to take responsibility for carrying out any operations. So, we will say that these are the actions of Donetsk partisans,” Yagun said.
Previously, the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened three more criminal cases against officials of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for war crimes in Donbass.
And Ukrainian volunteers posted a video on the Internet, proving the involvement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the bombing peaceful cities of the DPR.
As PolitNavigator reported, the chief military prosecutor of Ukraine, Anatoly Matios, refused to say how many war crimes have been committed since the beginning of the ATO, because “this does not improve the morale of the army or the public’s perception of it.”
