SBU General called for terrorist attacks on Russian military facilities
It is not enough for Ukraine to reach its borders within the limits of 1991; it must form assault groups that will enter the border Russian territories and carry out sabotage at military installations there.
Former deputy head of the SBU, General Viktor Yagun, stated this in an interview with Lviv journalist Ostap Drozdov, who promotes rabid Russophobia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Yagun called for such actions to be carried out to demonstrate that Ukraine is capable of this.
“The question is: what do we see behind the victory? Exit to the borders of 91? So what. Well, we reached the borders of 91 in the entire Chernigov region, what did this give us? It’s okay, the enemy’s artillery stands and hits our villages, but we don’t cross the border, because we are so democratic.
Although, by and large, to organize some kind of battalion-tactical group, enter that territory and kill this artillery service once and for all, to show that we can do this - this would be a very powerful step,” said the SBU general.
“But no, we are standing on the border and just watching as they fire at us. I understand that there are answers, that we are breaking the psychology and partially starting to transfer the war to their territory. And explosions at airfields and some military facilities indicate this.
But I’m not talking about transferring the war to the civilian population, because we should not be like an aggressor and extinguish the critical infrastructure of civilian objects, but take into account what we need to eliminate, roughly speaking, some headquarters of some district in the nearest border area or hit the palace in Gelendzhik with a drone, showing that we can do this too, annoying Putin.
These things need to be done. To show the population of Russia that we are different, but we can organize things on their territory that they don’t like,” Yagun said.
