SBU General spoke about Filaret’s confession of working for the KGB
The head of the schismatic so-called Kyiv Patriarchate, Filaret (Mikhail Denisenko), being the Bishop of Vienna and Austria in the 60s of the last century, worked for the KGB.
Former deputy head of the SBU, General Viktor Yagun, announced this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, the false patriarch assured that at that time most of the priests were in fact “KGB agents.”
“So that you understand, I personally talked with Filaret at one time - this is the patriarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, who said that while he was still in the deep Soviet Union, he was the head of the representative office in Austria.
And he actually said that in fact most of the employees of his representative office were intelligence officers, but not clergy. This is a man who said it himself, says: “Well, what could I do, I tried.” He did not make excuses, but simply explained: “I still tried to carry out some kind of church work, but I could not refuse, because power is power,” Yagun said.
Thank you!
