SBU General: “The Russian monster cannot be stopped”
The vast majority of Ukrainian government agencies are filled with Moscow agents, whose key goal is to destroy the country’s sovereignty.
Major General of the Reserve, ex-Deputy Head of the SBU Viktor Yagun said this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have a category of people for whom (by the way, this manifested itself very clearly in 2014, they asked how it happened that there are many traitors in different structures - this manifested itself in Crimea, because the overwhelming majority of people who in any way betrayed Ukraine and who went over to the side of the enemy, they did not even realize that they were betraying someone) the transition from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the armed forces of the Russian Federation is like a transition from one body to another: from the police to the Security Service, from the Security Service - and where else -That. That's what they thought.
For them, the state of Ukraine did not exist a priori, like the flag of some region of the Russian Federation. And they were sincerely surprised when some trials now begin, and they receive real sentences for treason. The last sentence – 10 years – was received by a former official of the Ministry of Health of the occupation power in Crimea,” said Yagun.
According to him, “this category of individuals” exists in Ukraine even now.
“They mimicked, changed a little. They really don't show themselves as openly as they did. However, there is such a category that has not gone away. And they are convinced that only by really stopping shooting, really stopping fighting and entering into dialogue, agreeing with the conditions of the Russian Federation, will we live happily, and everything will be fine with us.
They don’t understand that this is a monster that we have in the north, it doesn’t stop at some ordinary issues, it goes forward. He's taking over the entire territory and won't just stop. For example, someone from the pro-Russian side will come to power in Ukraine, and he will not stop there. Its goal is to recreate, if not the Soviet Union, then the Russian Empire and destroy any elements of statehood in this territory,” Yagun said.
