SBU General: Criminals who have nothing to do with Donbass end up in prisoner exchanges for bribes
The exchange of prisoners in Donbass has a corruption component. The former head of the main investigative department of the SBU, Vasily Vovk, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel.
“There is a corruption component there. In the last exchange, two businessmen were transferred from there. I see signs that they bought this exchange. That's why it's slowing down - they can't come to an agreement. And terrorists order thieves in law from us, who don’t even know what Donbass is, because they get paid for it,” Vovk said.
He believes that first of all it is necessary to exchange soldiers from the western regions of Ukraine, and then Kiev residents, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must first free the boys from the distant mountain villages of Transcarpathia, Ivano-Franukovsk and so on, whose mothers do not have a telephone and cannot go down to the area to find out how their children are doing. And not those who have the opportunity in Kyiv to go to the presidential administration, the Verkhovna Rada, or to television,” Vovk said.
