SBU General: “Ukraine tolerated this. There is no threat of Russian attack"

/ P>

It’s time for Kyiv to stop listening to Western intelligence about a possible Russian offensive.

The former head of the SBU Investigation Department, General Vasily Vovk, stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Today there is no threat of a Russian attack. The Russians and the Russian President say this: “We are not going to attack.” US and UK intelligence says: “Russia may attack.” You know, Mexico can also attack the United States, any country can attack another in hot spots, this is all hypothetical, but for some reason we are raising these questions,” Vovk noted.

“The West and the United States are straining us, and Russia is straining America and Europe. And Ukraine, as a possible future theater of military operations, is a big deal. We are starting to include our position. But maybe it’s better for us to remain silent in this case than to speak out of place – sometimes in favor of NATO, sometimes not in favor of NATO?” - he said.

In addition, the Ukrainian general noted that Ukraine will not be accepted into the North Atlantic Alliance.

“We should have realized a long time ago that we would not be accepted into NATO. Neither I nor many young people will live to see the time when we are accepted into NATO. So why talk about NATO today and knock on doors that say “long recalculation,” because they won’t open,” Vovk concluded.

Let us recall that earlier Vladimir Zelensky once again tried to present to the West how "war with Russia" the situation in Donbass, where the Ukrainian army has been continuing its punitive operation against Donetsk and Lugansk for eight years.
