Attempts to pass laws on the land market and the special status of Donbass could lead to a third Maidan. This was shown by yesterday's events near the Verkhovna Rada, which led to a confrontation with the police and dozens of casualties.
The former head of the investigative department of the SBU, Major General Vasily Vovk, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We noticed that the National Corps, Svoboda, other representatives, and the police were also there in uniform. Moreover, I would estimate that somewhere they tried to smooth out the situation together, because it was unplanned, events that could have been a bomb for the Maidan and so on were not planned.
Although there are hints that this very issue, if it is still combined with the special status of Donbass, from which we are slowly moving away and showing that it will not exist, but somewhere it is still hidden in the “Steinmeier formula” and so on . If these two issues are combined, they simply want to show the authorities that a third Maidan is possible. There are reasons to think about this, given the complex issues of the land market and the special status of Donbass,” Vovk said.
