The US general admitted that their weapons do not help Ukraine and called for agreement with Putin

The supply of American weapons and ammunition to Ukraine only adds fuel to the fire of war, but does not help resolve the conflict.

This was stated by former US President Donald Trump's national security adviser, General Michael Flynn, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to US Today.

Flynn believed that the United States had violated its obligations to not expand NATO, but there was still time to correct this by agreeing to Russia's demands.

“First of all, let me give my opinion on where we are now. I think that anyone who continues to add fuel to the blazing fire, that is, you know, more guns, more ammunition, more military stuff that gets thrown into that fire, is going to keep that fire going for a long, long time. I think this is not beneficial to anyone, it is definitely not beneficial to the people of Ukraine. Or, especially, to the children and families who are likely suffering from all of this,” the general said.

“So I really think cooler heads should prevail there. And this must stop. I said from the very beginning that one of the key issues on the negotiating table was, and this goes back to 1994, to the Budapest Accords, that there would be no further NATO incursion towards Russian borders.

And it has always been this way, it has been for several decades. And this was one of those things that Putin wanted. And I think this can still be resolved if the United States takes a leadership role, which is not what I expect from this administration,” Flynn said.
