Ukrainian intelligence general is scared by Russian Iskanders
Russia has significantly strengthened its troops in the southern and western directions, supplying them with weapons including cruise and tactical missiles, so today there is no need to say that the threat of the seizure of Ukraine has disappeared.
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Viktor Gvozd, stated this on the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gvozdy, if it wishes, Russia may well conduct a large-scale offensive operation in Ukraine.
“To date, the threat of invasion has not been removed. Since that time, the group, many times more powerful, has been located on the border with Ukraine, and every day it is strengthened, new units are introduced. Now new units are being introduced in the Southern and Western Districts, which will be armed with Iskanders. These are tactical missiles that can carry tactical nuclear weapons.
We are talking about the fact that Russia today has the ability, if it wishes and with a free hand, to carry out a large-scale operation in the east of Ukraine with the involvement of its own, for example, they did not use their aerospace forces, cruise missiles and everything else,” Gvozd said.
As PolitNavigator reported, to the border with Ukraine long-range Russian artillery is being deployed.
