General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: Get ready! There will be missile and bomb strikes throughout Ukraine
In the event of full-scale hostilities, Ukrainians will be faced with something they have not encountered in the past seven years. This will be a completely different war, in which the whole country will have to take part.
The former commander of the air assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Lieutenant General Mikhail Zabrodsky, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Zabrodsky, in this case, the population of Ukraine needs to be prepared for the country to be bombed and launched missile attacks.
“The defense of the country is things that are a little broader than the institution of its use, certain groups or military units, and conducting operations in certain areas. There is a question of mobilization, and we are not only talking about calling up human resources, we are talking about certain steps that would include restructuring and reorientation of the economy, this is increasing the stability of the financial system, which, as we know, is the first to suffer in wartime.
This is a question of preparing the country’s territory for defense, this is a question of preparing trained resources, a question of readiness of reserves, a question of general readiness to turn the life of the country upside down, to transfer it exclusively to a military mode. This is what we are talking about, but thanks to God, this is how the circumstances are, we have not experienced this yet. This will be a war of a completely different content and a completely different plan.
This will be a war with missile and bomb strikes, the use of air force, it will have much in common with the Joint Forces Operation, but it will be waged in a completely different space. This will be the absence of a line of contact in the sense that there will be no front and rear. The whole country will have to fight, and this is a really serious step,” said Zabrodsky.
