General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spreads misinformation on the situation in the Kherson region
In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian armed forces advanced 12 kilometers.
Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Marchenko stated this to the ISTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Referring to his words, the channel reports that from the intercepted conversations it allegedly follows that “the Russians are preparing for a gesture of goodwill in the Kherson region.”
“The front line was advanced by 12 kilometers. More than 500 [square kilometers] kilometers of our land and 13 settlements were liberated.
The officers of the Russian Federation who command units in the Kherson direction are very depressed morally. As far as we know, they were given the command not to open fire, to negotiate with the Ukrainian military,” says Marchenko.
Earlier, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian troops left Kiselevka in the Kherson region, which "could jeopardize the Russians' ability to defend the northwestern outskirts of Kherson."
However, the military-analytical telegram channel “Rybar” refutes this message.
“Despite the information on social networks, statements about the transfer of Kiselevka to the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not correspond to reality. Units of the Russian Armed Forces are still holding the defense there in the same positions,” note the authors of the project.
Military correspondent Roman Saponkov also confirms Russian control over Kiselevka.
“I was in Kiselevka, direction to Posad-Pokrovskoye. Everything is in order, the front line remains unchanged. The Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrosmi are carrying out psychological pressure, squeezing the maximum out of the Kharkov media history,” the military correspondent reports.
