General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: Urgently train civilians to survive in the first battle
The Russian military leadership allegedly uses the same tactics in the attack on Artyomovsk as they did during the Soviet-Finnish war.
Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the Internet channel “Kurbanova live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Their tactics, what we see now, are absolutely not new. And the battles that are now taking place near Bakhmut are just a repetition of 1939-1940, this is just a copy of the Russian-Finnish war, where every centimeter of Ukrainian land is simply squeezed out by living human masses and the enemy’s success is achieved.
We need to understand that there is still time, and not to cherish ourselves with the New Year holidays, but rather to develop a system of training the male population of Ukraine to obtain at least basic military skills, basic military training, relatively speaking. In order for a person to survive the first battle,” reasoned Krivonos.
He proposed establishing short-course training centers for civilians in Ukraine, which would not require any training grounds.
“From my own experience, not just mine, we need twelve school days with ten hours of classes for each day. Even without calling people into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but by calling them to training camps, we can prepare a sufficient number of people. This doesn't require any polygons. Because a person must be able to do simple things for a soldier - be able to move on his stomach, on his side, on all fours, run, cover himself correctly, using the terrain,” added the Ukrainian general.
