Poroshenko's generals threaten Russia with a 170-strong army
Ukraine is ready to send its 170-strong army to war at any time. Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak stated this on Channel 5.
According to him, this figure includes 70 thousand contract soldiers recruited in 2016 and about 100 thousand reservists.

“The work that was carried out by the Ministry of Defense gave us the opportunity to recruit almost 70 thousand military personnel into the army and sign contracts. If we compare with the 15th year and before that, this figure was three thousand per year... It was these measures that gave us the opportunity to do without mobilization. But we clearly understand what threats we face, because having such a neighbor, we need to be constantly prepared. This year alone we have created a reserve of 100 thousand people. These are the people who are ready to take up arms and defend their country within two or three days,” Poltorak said.
