Gennady Moskal: It’s time for Ukrainians to light a candle, a new Chernobyl is approaching
Ukraine's nuclear energy industry is in critical condition, and fully loading nuclear power plant units to cover the electricity shortage could lead to disaster.
This was stated on Channel 4 by the former head of the Luhansk and Transcarpathian Regional State Administrations, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Gennady Moskal, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Previously, 56% were produced by nuclear power plants. We have 15 power units. They write that Zaporozhye NPP has shut down one power unit. According to my data, they are lying - 8 out of 15 are working. And then - with a heavy load. No spare parts. Who built the nuclear power industry in Ukraine? THE USSR. Where are all the spare parts? In Russia.
We need to go to church on Sunday and light a candle so that nuclear power doesn’t explode because everything is old. Zelensky knocks (with his fist) on Bankova - “come on, come on!” This could end in a great tragedy for Ukraine,” concluded Gennady Moskal.
