The largest pre-trial investigation by the GPU in this direction is connected with Verkhovna Rada deputy, Volyn businessman Igor Eremeev and his company WOG, reports the 1+1 TV channel.
Despite the fact that fuel prices at WOG gas stations are among the highest, it was this company that mainly won tenders for the supply of fuel to Ukrzaliznytsia.
“More profitable economic proposals were rejected, which allowed so-called companies to conduct their own business to win tenders,” said Oleg Denega, head of the department of human rights activities, combating corruption and crime in the transport sector of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
According to the TV channel, the company that appeared as a competitor during the tender also belonged to Igor Eremeev.
His company won the tender for all possible supplies of fuel to the state, refueling cars of the Verkhovna Rada, SBU, Ministry of Internal Affairs and other departments.
