The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine found those responsible for the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo
The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine sent an information message to the International Criminal Court. “In connection with the war crimes of the Russian Federation committed during the battles for Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
“The essence of the message consists of facts of extrajudicial executions of 9 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by representatives of the pro-Russian organized group “Cossack Union “Don Army Region” during the battles for Ilovaisk in 2014 and Debaltsevo in 2015. The message will be considered by the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court along with other episodes of serious violations of international humanitarian law committed by pro-Russian forces in the East of Ukraine in the period 2014-2019,” the document states.
It is also reported that the GPU “provided photographic and video evidence that directly indicates the fact of the capture of Ukrainian soldiers, testimony of eyewitnesses to the killings of prisoners, documents confirming the death of military personnel in captivity.”
The Cossack Union “Don Army Region” was registered in the Russian Federation in 2009. The KSOVD website states: that “From the first days of the liberation struggle, the Cossack Union “Don Army Region” stood up to defend Donbass from the encroachments of the fascist junta. The Cossack Union takes an active part in the people's liberation struggle of New Russia, the formation of its statehood and the arrangement of public life. He sees his main goal as building Novorossiya as a strong sovereign socially-oriented state aimed at satisfying the natural, social and higher needs of its citizens.”
