This was stated by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin.

According to him, investigators have already left for Kharkov for this purpose. The mayor is charged with hooliganism, illegal imprisonment and torture of people.

These offenses are punishable by five to ten years in prison. As Shokin explained, we are also talking about hooliganism, because Kernes committed the crime together with his two bodyguards, who were already informed of suspicion and illegal imprisonment.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the prosecutor's office had dealt with Boris Kolesnikov and Alexander Efremov. Experts note that this happened precisely on the anniversary of the Maidan and during the period of the collapse of the hryvnia.
