Prosecutor General Shokin makes excuses: the deputy prosecutor of the Odessa region is not my daughter
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin denies family ties with the Deputy Prosecutor of the Odessa Region Tatyana Gornostaeva.

Shokin stated this himself in an interview with Ukrainian News.
“I am not her father, and she herself spoke about this publicly. We are not related,” he said.
According to Shokin, the activities of the deputy prosecutor are not checked due to the lack of specific facts of its illegality. “Saakashvili did not provide me with any evidence against her,” he added.
On June 17, Saakashvili accused senior officials of the regional prosecutor's office of racketeering and promised to demand the resignation of Deputy Prosecutor of the Odessa Region Tatyana Gornostaeva, known to the public as the adopted daughter of Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.
