Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko announced criminal cases against deputies of the Verkhovna Rada - associates of the ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, who was detained today.

He stated this today at a briefing in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, they are also connected with financing by the fugitive Ukrainian oligarch Sergei Kurchenko, which Lutsenko previously accused Saakashvili of.

“I want to emphasize that this is only one part of this plan. I can announce today what will happen next. Other Ukrainian politicians well-known throughout the country have also gotten involved in even more dangerous games, and we will definitely report them to the public at a time when it will be beneficial to the investigation,” Lutsenko said.
