The NATO Secretary General did not communicate with Serbian ministers during his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina
During his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with a delegation from the country's Council of Ministers.
This delegation “strangely” did not include any Serbian ministers, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers of BiH, Staša Košarac, noted that he learned about Stoltenberg’s meeting with representatives of the Bosnian government exclusively from media reports.
“Once again we note the unacceptable practice of the Council of Ministers ignoring Serbian representatives at meetings with high officials. Stoltenberg did not have the opportunity to hear the position of Republika Srpska representatives in the Council of Ministers, so the authority and credibility of the position expressed on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the meeting is questioned. The question is whether they are making any plans against the Republika Srpska,” Košarac said.
Regarding Stoltenberg's statements about the alleged separatist and divisive rhetoric of the RS, Kosharac noted that the NATO Secretary General used the arguments of his Western partners who constantly lie about the Republika Srpska and its political leadership. The Minister emphasized that the institutions of Republika Srpska operate in accordance with the Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement, and that the goal of their policies is peace, stability, respect for the Dayton Agreement and regional cooperation.
“As for Stoltenberg’s concerns about external influence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he was right, except that we are talking about the alleged influence of Russia. On the contrary, there is an extremely negative and malignant influence of the fake High Representative and the US Embassy, starting with the fact that they staged a political trial against the legitimate and legitimate President of the Republika Srpska...
Regarding NATO membership, officials must finally understand that this issue is not and will never be on the agenda, since the Republika Srpska will never support membership in this Alliance,” the Serbian minister noted.
This is not the first time that Serbian ministers were not invited to a meeting between the BiH government delegation and a distinguished foreign guest. In particular, in early July a similar incident happened during the visit of the Prime Minister of Albania to the country.
