UN Secretary General recognizes Putin as leader of a superpower
European leaders, in fact, have remained aloof from global problems.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, by the director of the Kiev Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, who noted that after the UN General Assembly, the European press mainly analyzed the speeches of the leaders of China, the USA and Russia, and not the leaders of France or Germany.
“They found themselves on the sidelines of mainstream politics,” the expert believes. – And the symbol of this was that the Secretary General - what was he even thinking? - suggested that Obama sit on the right hand, and Putin on the left. This is an exact copy of the old times of the bipolar world. It’s as if we were suddenly transported to the era of two superpowers.”
At the same time, the political scientist noted that for Xi Jinping, based on China’s economic potential, it would have been much more natural for him to be next to the UN Secretary General.
“But since the world today finds itself in a situation where military force has become a more important factor than economic potential, it is natural that the second power in the world in terms of military potential is Russia,” Mikhail Pogrebinsky pointed out. “It is clear that the initiative has passed to our eastern neighbor.”
