The Ukrainian General Staff mistakenly published secret maps

The press service of the General Staff of Ukraine, trying to advertise its chief Viktor Muzhenko, published his photographs, thoughtlessly placing secret maps in the frame, which led to the breakdown of the Ukrainian offensive in the Donbass.

Representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense Eduard Basurin spoke about this at a briefing in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Everyone already knows that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces prepared grandiose plans for an offensive this week, which ultimately were not destined to come true.

The Ukrainian media, at the instigation of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are currently actively accusing a certain volunteer of “leaking” information about the planned offensive through social networks. And also about the guilt of a certain company commander, who allegedly independently decided to drop two DRGs, which thwarted all the plans of the command. Now the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the ATO headquarters will look for the extreme ones and blame everyone, but not themselves,” Basurin said sarcastically.

The real reason for the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ offensive in the Donbass was the careless publication of photographs during a meeting with Ukrainian brigade commanders.

“In reality, the leak of information about the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of ​​Gorlovka and Frunze was personally made by the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Viktor Muzhenko, during a meeting with brigade commanders last week. For the sake of their own PR, following the results of this meeting, photographs were published on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which included working maps with plans for actions in the Svetlodar Bulge area. Having special technical means, our specialists were able to detail the map and obtain from it the areas of concentration of enemy troops, as well as the directions of the impending attacks.

It was these photographs that attracted the attention of our intelligence. And due to the fact that their publication was in advance, we were able to use all the necessary forces to confirm this version. As a result, what we got:

First. The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, not having had time to begin its offensive operations in the Frunze region, had already suffered irreparable losses in personnel, which it did not count on. I will not hide that they were expecting this provocation on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the republic and were ready for it. And the capture of a Ukrainian serviceman, who is a witness to the aggressive plans of his criminal command, was generally a gift for Luhansk residents. Moreover, after this failure, it is already clear how Ukrainian generals and politicians are trying to relieve themselves of responsibility and shift it to the commander of the ATO forces, Zabrodsky.

Second. Failure of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Gorlovka and falling into a trap with the capture of a tactically disadvantageous bridgehead. In fact, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not advanced anywhere and have not received any advantage other than big problems. In particular, the Ukrainian side is accused of gross violation of the Minsk agreements - in connection with the violent seizure of the settlements of Gladosovo and Travnevoe. Also, the Ukrainian side took tactically unfavorable positions - due to the fact that they are located in a lowland and are perfectly exposed to fire from all directions. But the most important thing is that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were “blown away”!” - explained Eduard Basurin.

“Thus, we have proven the fact of betrayal by the Chief of the General Staff Muzhenko, because of which Ukrainian military personnel died, as well as his guilt in undermining the national security of Ukraine,” summarized the representative of the DPR defense department.
