The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is concerned about desertions and suicides in the ATO zone
Due to the critical moral and psychological state among the personnel of one of the brigades in the ATO zone, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is forced to organize monthly commissions for its units.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The lieutenant colonel noted that due to the low moral and psychological state of Ukrainian military personnel, the increasing incidence of suicides, non-combat losses and desertion, investigators from the military prosecutor’s office, as well as a commission of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, worked in the 10th separate mountain assault brigade from April 4 to April 7.
“As a result of the work of the commission and against the background of the revealed critical moral and psychological state of the Ukrainian security forces, a decision was made regularly, once a month, to send a group of psychologists to the brigade units to work with military personnel,” Marochko added.
Also, according to him, as a result of the checks, a number of officials holding command positions suffered disciplinary punishments, several officers were summoned to the headquarters of the Lugansk Separate Tactical Group to give explanations.
