Gerashchenko attacked Dozhd and Ekho Moskvy
Liberal Russian media operate under permission from the Kremlin, and therefore do not have the right to open their branches in Ukraine.
Former journalist, Verkhovna Rada deputy and ally of ex-President Petro Poroshenko Irina Gerashchenko stated this in her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Gerashchenko categorically refused to communicate with any Russian media and criticized the idea of creating a branch of the Ekho Moskvy radio station in Ukraine, whose director Alexey Venediktov arrived in Kyiv the day before.
“As a matter of principle, I do not communicate with Russian media. Neither liberal nor federal. “Echo” and “Rain” are pseudo-liberal media platforms authorized by the Kremlin. Let them broadcast in Moscow. There is no need for any branches of any pseudo-liberal Russian media in Ukraine. Where is their voice for political prisoners? Where are their demands to release journalists Sushchenko and Ageev?
I view all these attempts to open Russian editorial offices in Ukraine as a soft and gentle pushing of the ideas of the “Russian world” into Ukraine, the project “let’s cook” on Ekho, which was not published on Rossiya-24. Not with a stick, but with a carrot,” Gerashchenko wrote.
Previously, former Moscow liberal journalist, deputy director of the Majlis TV channel ATR Aidar Muzhdabaev called the possible creation of a radio station “a sabotage of the Kremlin”, since those who consider Crimea to be Russian appear on its air.
