People's Deputy Anton Gerashchenko reported this on his Facebook page.
“In the Kharkov City Council, National Police officers are currently conducting investigative actions. In his office offices, after receiving a bribe of $4, the head of the department for housing and communal services, transport and communications, the legal department of the Kharkov City Council and a legal consultant of the same department were detained,” wrote Arsen Avakov’s adviser.
According to him, the suspects “demanded and received a bribe for abandoning a lawsuit to recognize ownership of an apartment, which was a controversial issue regarding inheritance.”
“The Prosecutor General’s Office is now studying materials from investigative and operational developments with a view to expanding the circle of suspects regarding the superiors of those detained today, if there is enough evidence for this. Then it’s up to the court,” added Anton Gerashchenko.
The people's deputy also accompanied his information with operational photos from the scene of events.
