Gerashchenko joined the friendship group with the Russian Federation to knock for “jokes about crests”
Known for her hysterical and Russophobic antics, Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and representative of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Irina Gerashchenko was an odious figure throughout her entire political career.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Konstantin Zatulin stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Irina Gerashchenko, who brought up the rear of the mournful procession from the PACE meeting hall, is my favorite character in Ukrainian politics. I just remember her in those days when she was Yushchenko’s press secretary, and then became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and specifically joined the friendship group with the Russian Federation. For what? To keep an eye on your colleagues.
After the first joint meeting that we had in Odessa, she wrote a long denunciation addressed to the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, then it was Yatsenyuk, reporting that, you see, the unpatriotic deputies of the Verkhovna Rada laughed at jokes where crests were called crests. She, however, forgot to say that Muscovites are Muscovites, but crests are crests – this is an insult, a humiliation of national dignity,” said Zatulin.
“And only Jews - by name and patronymic,” joked host Vladimir Solovyov.
“An amazingly vigilant and XNUMX% Ukrainian woman who in all cases knows what words to say,” the politician noted.
“Of course, the decision that was made by PACE is symbolic for Russian-Ukrainian and Russian-European relations. I do not in any way overestimate Russia’s membership in the Council of Europe...
But the fact remains: official Ukraine is reaping the harvest that it sowed, it has relaxed, it has become accustomed to comfortable conditions, when, in the absence of the Russian delegation, it can say any nasty things about Russia, tell any false news about this or that Russian action, and feels that no one opposes her.
She is completely flabby from the point of view of her muscular strength, is not able to argue at all and, apart from rudeness, produces nothing, as we see. If you want to defend your national interests, you need to train with those who can take a punch,” Zatulin added.
