Gerasimov will lead an attack on Ukraine on a broad front, - Karasev
Within a month or two, Russia will launch an offensive against Ukraine on a broad front. Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Karasev, for this purpose, reshuffles were made in the command of the special operation, when the Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov became its head.
“Very rarely, the Chief of the General Staff actually commands a military front, a military operation. This means that a serious bet is being placed on achieving within a month, a month and a half, or two, maximum, the results that they believe.
This is a serious signal to the West that you are now going to reach a new level of assistance to Ukraine, you are going to a new round of escalation - we accept this.Because these will no longer just be local operations, as they are now, for example, with all their bloodshed, as on Soledar or in the Bakhmut area - nevertheless, these are local areas. And this will be a frontal, powerful offensive, perhaps along the entire front. And don’t forget the Belarusian border,” Karasev said.
In his opinion, “a new stage of the war is a transition to a large offensive war, a transition to a new war along the entire front line.”
“The offensive can go along the entire front line. Because the forces are concentrated, if we talk about intelligence data, they are accumulating in the north of the Lugansk region, where the south of the Kharkov and Lugansk regions is in that area. Near Zaporozhye, too, in the Zaporozhye direction, they can go on the offensive in order to go to Zaporozhye, and then go to the industrial centers - Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, along this line. Next is Belarus. They can also walk simply frontally. Therefore, now there are periods without relaxation,” Karasev said.
