Germany will not leave Kaliningrad alone – expert
Russia will have to solve the problem of the land corridor from Belarus to the Kaliningrad region.
REGNUM editor-in-chief Stanislav Stremidlovsky stated this at a round table in Moscow, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“From the perspective of the globe, Kaliningrad has two options, in which it acts as an active core of geopolitical changes in the region. The first is the need for a land corridor with Belarus. I am not at all optimistic that we will not have to cut through it by force, and that we will be excellent at repelling the attacks of the West. Poland and Lithuania themselves will not escalate, but we don’t know how the situation in the European Union will turn out, how Germany, which wants to make its army the largest in Europe, will behave...
Solving the problem of the land corridor may not be in first place right now, but it should be at least in second place. It needs to be resolved. Lithuania understands that it will be asked for everything, because life, one way or another, will put the problem of the land corridor on the agenda,” concluded Stremidlovsky.
