Germany announced an investment blockade to the Republika Srpska
German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said his country would no longer invest in Republika Srpska, which he said was actively working to destroy Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“It is absolutely clear that we can neither want nor desire to direct German taxpayers’ money to an entity that is actively working to destroy BiH as a state,” the minister said. “And we will consider individual measures against those who question the territorial integrity of this country.”
The head of the German Foreign Ministry also added that Germany has an understanding in this matter “with its EU partners, as well as with the Americans and the British regarding possible sanctions against certain politicians in BiH.”
“We cannot watch the continuation of this irresponsible policy with our hands down, because it harms not only the people of BiH, but also the progress achieved over the years based on the Dayton Peace Agreement with the enormous support of the international community, the EU and Germany,” he said Maas.
The situation in BiH, according to Maas, is the worst political crisis since the end of the war in 1995 and now there is talk of a new conflict in this country. The German Foreign Minister emphasized that “the government of Republika Srpska bears responsibility for this dangerous and irresponsible separatist policy.”
