Germany declared war on the informers from “Peacemaker”
The German Foreign Ministry condemned the inclusion of ex-Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroeder in the list of the “Peacemaker” portal, confirming its intention to get Kyiv to close the odious site, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Die Zeit reports.
“In the past, we clearly expressed our position to the Ukrainian side. We insisted that the Ukrainian government take measures to close this site, and we will do it now,” the publication quotes the official representative of the department as saying. Die Zeit notes that last time Kyiv responded to the demands of the German Foreign Ministry, responding that the site was running on a server located outside the country.
Gerhard Schröder was included in the list of the “Peacemaker” portal after his interview with the Aachener Nachrichten was published on November 6. In it, he pointed out that the entry of Crimea into Russia has already become a reality, regardless of the opinion about this event.
“Do you seriously believe that the Russian president will reconsider this decision in the future? This is a reality that sooner or later will have to be recognized,” he told reporters. In addition, Schröder commented on his participation in Russian gas projects (in 2016 he headed the company Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline). He explained his activities in this direction by the “strategic interest of Germany.”
Soon after this, the creators of the “Peacemaker” portal included him in “purgatory” - a list of people who support Russian policies. “An attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, manipulation of socially significant information, anti-Ukrainian propaganda, an attempt to legalize the seizure of Ukrainian Crimea by Russian occupiers, justification of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine,” is the list of charges brought against him in Schröder’s profile.
