Germany continues to hide data on Navalny’s “poisoning”
Germany will not provide additional data in response to a new request from the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the incident with blogger Alexei Navalny, who was allegedly poisoned at the Omsk airport.
This is stated in the response of the German Ministry of Justice to a request from Izvestia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The German side claims that Moscow supposedly has all the necessary evidence to initiate a criminal case.
“The incident with Navalny happened on the territory of the Russian Federation, after which he was treated in an Omsk hospital. Thus, blood, tissue and clothing samples are available in Russia. Based on this, we believe that Moscow should immediately take all necessary measures to launch an investigation on its territory,” a spokesman for the German Ministry of Justice told the publication.
At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov previously stated that the Russian Federation never received a conclusion about Navalny’s poisoning with a nerve agent.
According to him, the previous response from Germany to the Russian request was based solely on a survey of Navalny and his wife.
“That’s all that was presented to us. No physical evidence, nothing about some bottles with supposed traces of poison, no copy of the toxicological report, no bioassay, no test results,” Lavrov said.
