Germany seriously fears that Russia will intervene in the conflict in Donbass
In Germany, the conflict in Donbass is viewed as internal and they call on Kyiv to resolve it peacefully, since otherwise Russia will be forced to intervene.

Senior researcher at the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation Andreas Umland said this on the air of the “Your Freedom” program on the Ukrainian Radio Liberty, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When they say in Germany that there is no military solution to the conflict, they mean that the fact that Ukraine will again conquer its territory is impossible. We've seen this before. In this case, Russian regular troops will simply be brought into Donbass, and in such a confrontation between the regular troops of states there is no military solution,” Umland said.
According to a German expert, in Germany the supply of lethal weapons to Kyiv is considered a provocation towards Russia.
“The whole Russian narrative around this conflict is that it is not so much a Ukrainian-Russian conflict as a Western-Russian one. And we are not talking about Ukraine, but about NATO and their troops near the borders of Russia. Now the North Atlantic Alliance will begin supplying weapons, and this will only provoke further development of the conflict,” concluded Andreas Umland.
