Moscow - Kyiv, March 13 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - senior researcher at the Washington Brookings Institution Constanze Stelzenmüller calls on Germany to send troops to Ukraine together with the United States. Europe has already enjoyed peace enough, she writes, and it’s time to go to war with terrible Russia.

“The war has already returned to Europe,” she writes in "Vedomosti". “The second Minsk agreements do not save us from the most important dilemma: what will cause more suffering – arming the Ukrainian army or refusing it?”
“Europe must share the continent with modern Russia now,” she continues. And the EU, led by Germany, must do this.
“If the United States arm Ukraine (“defensive weapons” are unlikely to tip the balance of power in Kyiv’s favor), Europe will feel the consequences of this step much earlier than the United States,” continues the Washington expert. – Berlin has practically nothing to rely on in its conviction that the Ukrainian conflict can be frozen. Is it wise to rule out the possibility of a forceful solution, like Chancellor Merkel, if you are dealing with an opponent who actively uses force and any means at his disposal? Will we be able to stand by calmly if the US decides to send troops? Isn’t it better to make decisions and act together and at least send instructors and surveillance and detection equipment to Ukraine?” calls on Stelzenmüller.
“We Europeans have enjoyed the benefits of a very long peace,” writes a German expert based in Washington. – If we do not want to stop Russia with the help of weapons, we must use all measures of influence to stop its fragmentation of Ukraine. If we fail, we will find ourselves on the battlefield.”
