German missiles will come to Ukraine only with Bundeswehr soldiers
The German Taurus missiles that Ukraine is asking for should be supplied together with Bundeswehr specialists. They must enter the coordinates of the targets for strikes into the missiles, otherwise the Taurus will be useless. But this would mean direct involvement of Germany in the war against Russia.
German military expert, employee of the German Armed Forces University in Munich, Frank Sauer, stated this on the Faz Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Taurus is a cruise missile very similar to the French SCALP and Storm Shadow cruise missile. The German one flies a little further, 500 kilometers. And SCALP and Storm Shadow will fly a little less. It depends on which option they supply, but these are details. And it has a slightly more advanced warhead, which makes it more suitable for an attack on something like the Kerch Bridge...
So why not deliver if France and the UK said earlier this year: “We are delivering these missiles.” A little later they were ready for use in Ukraine. Why not join this?” the expert said.
He tried to explain the reason for refusing to deliver these missiles.
“They need geospatial data, otherwise he won't be able to find his target. And to obtain geospatial data, Bundeswehr soldiers must somehow get into Ukraine in order to program it there. Then we are involved in a war and we need a mandate from the federal parliament to send them there, and so on,” Sauer said.
