Stories of ordinary people with their simple daily heroism will return to domestic screens. It doesn’t have to be heroism on the front line; it can be heroic service to one’s profession, or even an act unexpected for oneself.
This opinion was expressed in the “Political Department” program on the “Crimea 24” channel by theater and film actress Natalya Koloskova, who in 2018 played the main role in the military drama “Militia” about the war in Donbass, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am sure that this is exactly what will happen now. Now, on the contrary, they are looking for such stories, looking for such scriptwriters, and now, I’m just sure, is the time for such films about that time, about our time, that in our time there are also such heroes. And now, it seems to me, documentary films are gaining momentum, when they show, without embellishment, real stories of real people of different professions. Again, these could be people at the front, these could be people living in Moscow, Saratov, Bryansk, in any city.
A person may be a policeman or a rescuer, but in his field he is a hero. Or there are stories when a person saves someone else’s child, or a dog that is drowning. These are also heroes, a heroic act in fact,” she noted.
The actress told how, during filming in Lugansk, in difficult situations, personal qualities came to the fore.
“It seems to me that a person cannot become a hero planned. This happens instinctively, intuitively. There are people who will pass by a person who is feeling bad. Most will probably pass by. God willing, one or two will help. And the manifestation of this quality cannot be planned. I partly felt this on the set in Lugansk, when difficult moments arose, and, of course, inside everyone wants to be beautiful, they want to be a hero.
But when some terrible situations arose, when there was some kind of tension, I saw how everyone reacted: there are men who hide, there are people like me who freeze and don’t know what to do. That is, I needed someone to tell me what to do. Or people like Masha Pern. She is the opposite, and I understand why she was given the role of commander, because at such moments she gathered herself and said, “so, you go there, and you go there.” And somehow she could give orders.
That is, everyone has qualities that somehow work in such unforeseen situations, and no one knows how it will work for you, no one knows about themselves like that. That is, there were people who came there, outwardly it seemed that he was a hero, but in reality the person found himself in a slightly dangerous situation and immediately “let’s go, let’s go,” Koloskova noted.
