Glorify the UPA and solve the language issue in French - Ukrainian propagandist
The cult of the UPA needs to be made an ideological component, and the language issue must be resolved harshly, as in post-war France.
Natalya Sokolenko, a journalist from the Maidan and the mouthpiece of Hromadska Radio, stated this during a conference in Ukrinform, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We wrote an interview with the attache of the French Embassy, and he recalled how, after World War II, France energetically took up the introduction of the French language on its territory. They simply did not allow anyone to speak anything other than French in schools in France, including Alsace and Brittany. This is the state, but what do you want?” – said Sokolenko.
“And then, what is the UPA or other historical figures for us, why are they secondary? What will they fight for, for comfort on the streets? Or should there still be an ideological component in patriotic education? The important problem for me is that we are a little ashamed of our state,” the propagandist added.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier right in the building of the Verkhovna Rada an exhibition dedicated to the “Act of Proclamation of the Ukrainian State” in alliance with Nazi Germany opened, signed in 1941 in Lvov.
