Hero of Russia Andrei Bogatov was concerned about the closure of gyms in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He said this at the “Lesson of Courage”, which he conducted for local children.
According to him, not all the conditions necessary for development are created for children in the region. So, in the village of Zykovo the gym is closed, and powerlifters who trained there for 30 years are expelled from the Zheleznodorozhnikov cultural palace.
“You might think that children and teenagers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory have an overabundance of healthy leisure time! No, gentlemen, officials: every time you close a small gym, you break a dozen or two children’s destinies, you throw them out onto the street!” Bogatov was indignant.
In addition, in Krasnoyarsk a school on Glinka Street is being closed because it was considered unsafe. The children will be sent to study in another area. Bogatov was extremely surprised by this.
“I don’t understand: has the building suddenly become unsafe? Why was this situation not foreseen in advance? Why should children go to another area?” the politician complains.
He attributed everything to “the carelessness of local authorities.” According to him, officials are giving children another reason to “hate school,” which is now located far away.
