Hero of the USSR and Russia fell ill with Covid for the second time
Five deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation fell ill with COVID-19 again; they did not develop antibodies.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, Kommersant writes, citing the speaker of the lower house of parliament Vyacheslav Volodin.
He said that the latest testing confirmed coronavirus infection in 11 parliamentarians, and a total of 157 deputies have been ill or are in hospital.
“What’s most alarming is that five deputies fell ill with coronavirus again. Repeatedly, that is, having been ill, they fell ill again. Antibodies were not developed, so they became infected. A total of 157 deputies today have been ill or are in the hospital,” Volodin said.
Among those who fell ill again, he named the Hero of the Soviet Union and Russia, polar explorer and deputy, 81-year-old Artur Chilingarov.
Volodin called on deputies to celebrate the New Year at home to avoid the threat of infection.
