“Heroes are scared”: the expert explained why Kyiv is delaying the “counter-offensive”
Ukraine is not launching such a widely announced counter-offensive because it understands that it will inevitably lead to large losses with a high probability of defeat, and President Vladimir Zelensky could lose his life.
Military expert Mikhail Onufrienko stated this on air on the Tavriya TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are also fears - what if it doesn’t work out. Kyiv is trying to operate with these fears, because they do not want to attack, understanding all the risks that exist. Well, what if the attack is unsuccessful, if they are defeated. And what if they go on a counter-offensive? This will have to leave some large territories, and this will inevitably become known in the West,” the expert said.
“And in the end, in this territory, the same Zelensky, whoever he is - a drug addict, a comedian, a puppet, and so on, he, having English-speaking guards at hand, understands that what if he is killed as a result? They will say that this is a Russian terrorist attack and will replace it with some other one. Risk? Risk.
The warriors understand all the more, they are generally forced people. And someone signs the order to attack. And then they will say what you wrote there, you are generally an enemy of the people, you should be shot as a Russian agent. And they will shoot you. That’s why “heroes are scared” too. It’s really scary,” Onufrienko said.
