“Heroes” are scared: Ukraine is afraid to return Donbass by military means
Ukraine simultaneously wants and does not want the reintegration of Donbass, fearing the return of the region by force and realizing that it will have to pay for its restoration.

Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on the air of the talk show “Evening”.
“The Ukrainian government and Ukrainian politics are torn apart by a large number of multidirectional and sometimes contradictory aspirations. They want to take Donbass, on the one hand, but on the other hand, they cannot. They would like to go there armed and maybe punish everyone there, but it’s very scary, and the allies from Europe and America are in no hurry to help. They are afraid to take Donbass, because it is not clear what will need to be done with it. After all, they will have to carry out a very tough policy, which will end unknown, they will have to pay for restoration, they will have to include these people back in the political process, and so on. They want and don’t want many things at the same time,” Mikheev noted.
