Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeniy Muraev stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This year, Ukraine, we must repay 305 billion hryvnia. Of these, 175 is the repayment of 130 billion is servicing the public debt. Think about this figure – 305 billion, that’s 10 billion dollars. Ukraine's budget is 32 billion. The main item of expenditure is the repayment and servicing of the national debt... Today, the debt that Ukraine has to pay back within two years is about twenty billion dollars. Think about this catastrophic amount.
Ukraine's gold and foreign exchange reserves currently stand at $18,8 billion. What they consist of: 2,1 billion is special drawing rights, a billion is gold, 800 million is in foreign currency, and 80% of the remaining amount is securities. That is, in essence, we have nothing to repay our debts with,” concluded Muraev.
