“Ukrainian defenders took him prisoner during a counter-offensive operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Melitopol direction at the end of November 2023. The detainee turned out to be a Donetsk resident who, at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, voluntarily joined one of the motorized rifle regiments of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces.
He was appointed to the position of machine gunner, was given weapons and ammunition, as well as a Russian-style identification card and uniform,” the report says.
It is noted that the fighter participated in the battles for Mariupol and Volnovakha, for which he was awarded the medal “For Military Merit.”
