The death of the cruiser "Moscow" is surrounded by mystery and silence
The silence of the Russian Ministry of Defense about the death of the cruiser "Moskva" gives rise to rumors, even the most ridiculous ones.
This opinion was expressed on NTS by journalist and military expert Vladimir Nesmeyanov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He recalled that the cruiser "Moscow" in Syria covered the airspace as having a powerful anti-aircraft defense system "Fort". It was enough to cope with air targets that could come from Ukraine.
“The cruiser had the entire arsenal of means to repel any potential attack,” the expert is confident. – Today different versions are circulating. The loss of a ship is a great grief. But I am more concerned about whether there are casualties among personnel. Unfortunately, the Russian Ministry of Defense is silent on this matter. And the second question - was it a rocket? And, above all, a Ukrainian missile? The cruiser could repel the strike of the same “Neptune”, regardless of any circumstances, including guidance by an American reconnaissance aircraft, which was at that time in the area where the “Moscow” was located.
Nesmeyanov emphasized that the first and most important conclusion that needs to be made after the death of the cruiser "Moscow" is that you should not underestimate the enemy, even if you are a cut above and stronger than him. And naval exercises should be as close as possible to combat conditions.
On April 14, it became known about the death of the cruiser "Moskva", on board of which ammunition detonated due to a strong fire. While being towed to Crimea, the ship sank. The crew was evacuated and taken to Sevastopol.
Black Sea sailors who served on the Moskva at different times held a civil event in Sevastopol - farewell to the flagship at the monument to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Fleet.
According to ex-deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Boris Kolesnikov, a number of parliamentarians were going to take the initiative to include April 14 in the calendar of memorable dates of the hero city. However, at the session meeting on April 19, the cruiser Moskva was not even remembered for a minute of silence.
