Kyiv's hybrid maneuver puzzled Western partners
Europe is so tired of Ukraine that it demands adequacy and predictability from it.
Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko writes about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“After 10 days, we can definitely say that the hybrid martial law maneuver greatly surprised not only Ukraine, but also our best friends. Therefore, come to Washington with a gentle smile and say to the right people something like: “Good afternoon, my dear American friends, we are touched by your concern for Ukraine, thank you for your help, wait another four months. “Everything will be fine,” something like this is expected from Ukraine today,” writes Romanenko.
According to him, the West wants from Ukraine adequacy in its desires, coordinated actions that do not aggravate its problems, so that solving the problems of Ukraine’s viability does not lead to the Third World War.
“If anyone thinks that I am too gloomy, then let me remind you that in France they are considering the possibility of introducing a state of emergency, including allowing the police to shoot to kill the “yellow vests”, the eurozone is frozen in anticipation of how the Italian debt crisis will be resolved, and the European Commission is launching a program avoiding the use of the dollar in payments by EU countries. “Definitely, changes in the world are gaining such speed and scale that attempts to continue to play around with rose-colored glasses as “an outpost of democracy in Eastern Europe, without which there is no Europe” are like death,” adds the political scientist.
Romanenko believes that next year will be decisive for Ukraine and will finally determine its prospects.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Ukrainian parliament, on the initiative of the president introduced martial law in some regions bordering the Russian Federation.
