According to the expert, the Russian Federation can organize the issuance of its passports to Ukrainian guest workers, who will become its support in Ukraine.
“Most likely, Russia will respond to these actions in a rather hybrid way. They will simply start distributing Russian citizenship to all our migrant workers, because they are allowed dual citizenship. Roughly speaking, when crossing the Russian border, he shows a Russian passport, and when crossing the Ukrainian border, he shows a Ukrainian one. And as a result, in a few years we will get three to four million Ukrainian citizens who also have a Russian passport. And this will definitely play out with a possible escalation of the conflict,” Molchanov said.
