The Russian anthem and Putin brought Ukraine to their ears live
No sooner had the conflict with the broadcast of the Victory Day concert on the Inter TV channel faded away than the same media ran the risk of falling under the wrath of nationalists again.
The reason was the opening of the FIFA World Cup in Moscow, during which the Russian anthem and a speech by President Vladimir Putin were played, and which was shown live on Inter, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, Kiev political scientist Sergei Belashko “trolls” nationalists on his page on the social network.
“Putin live on Inter.” Triple SUGS... The anthem of the aggressor country is on air on the Ukrainian national TV channel! It’s just kind of surreal,” Belashko says ironically.
In turn, the well-known radical, Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk, in his blog called for a ban on broadcasting the 2018 World Cup matches on Ukrainian TV.
“This is precisely why my colleagues and I proposed to ban the broadcast of the World Cup from the Russian Federation. Due to the fact that the parliament did not have the courage and conscience to support the draft of our corresponding resolution, now on Ukrainian television there is propaganda of the aggressor country, whose militants killed two Ukrainian soldiers in just the past XNUMX hours. I love football very much, but I don’t watch the championship in my blood and I call on everyone to boycott,” Mosiychuk captioned a photo of a stadium filled with Russian flags.
