Givi: God is on our side

One of the most famous commanders of the DPR army, Mikhail “Givi” Tolstykh, stated that he is a believer.
“I am a believer, but I am not a fanatic... When I make decisions, I always say: “With God!” And He is on our side. I know this,” Givi said in an interview with military correspondent Gennady Dubovoy.
He also answered the question of which historical figures he considers his reference points.
“I would take Vasily Ivanovich Chapaev as a reference point for recklessness. As a great tactician - Kutuzov. And from the Great Patriotic War – of course, Zhukov,” says Givi.
